Follow these tips to extend the life of your pure latex mattress:

Caring for your Latex Mattress Australia Mattress:

  • Always use a mattress protector. We highly recommend the use of a Tencel mattress protector.
  • Alternate between rotating and flipping your latex mattress regularly, every 2 – 3 months. Please do not strain your back – use the assistance of another person if you find the mattress heavy. Refer to video below on how to turn a mattress.
  • As required, gently vacuum cover with appropriate attachment.
  • Do not place or keep your latex mattress in direct sunlight.
  • Air regularly for a maximum of 1 hours out of direct sunlight but in warm dry conditions.
  • Do not steam or dry clean your latex mattress and always protect it from water and other fluids.
  • Do not allow anyone to stand or jump on your mattress. It was not designed to take this kind of treatment and will void the guarantee.

Cover Washing – Care Instructions

Please completely remove cover prior to any cleaning beyond a gentle vacuum.

  • Cover must be zipped together prior to cleaning.
  • Do not use bleaches.

Tencel and Bamboo Mattress Cover Cleaning:

  • For spot cleaning:
    • Test on an inconspicuous area first, use a damp sponge with a 5% cold solution of non-phenolic disinfectant or a mild dishwashing detergent.
    • Dry with a soft clean towel.
    • The mattress cover must then be allowed to dry thoroughly naturally, lying flat.
  • Due to the size of most mattress covers we recommend cleaning your mattress cover at a dry cleaner.
    • Ensure the dry cleaner uses a warm water (maximum 40º) undersetting on a gentle cycle.
    • Use a mild (preferably biodegradable) detergent to avoid damaging or wearing away the fabric.
    • Iron on a medium setting (maximum 150º).
    • Do not tumble dry.

Silk Mattress Cover Cleaning:

As silk is a luxury mattress covering, they do require more special and specific care than mattress covers with other fillings, both in their usage and cleaning:

  • For spot cleaning:
    • Localised spillages can be treated by immediately wiping the affected area with a clean cloth.

  • For a complete clean:
    • The mattress cover can only be dry cleaned using any solvent except trichloroethylene.
    • The mattress cover must never be machine washed, hand washed in its entirety, or ironed.
    • The mattress cover must never be wrung or tumble dried.
    • The mattress cover must then be allowed to dry thoroughly naturally, lying flat.

Mattress Turning Instructions for 2 People:

1. Grasp diagonally opposite mattress corners and spin the mattress clockwise 90 degrees across the base.

2. Roll up the end of the mattress to roll it over completely so a new sleeping surface is presented.

3. Now grasp the mattress corners and rotate the mattress clockwise until the mattress is again aligned with the base.

4. Your mattress has now been turned end for end and upside down.
